One of the sports whose popularity continues to grow and develop throughout the years is volleyball. Perhaps it is not the most practiced sport in the world, but it is definitely one of the best known, and the interest in it has not diminished, in fact, it could be said that it has increased over time, being practiced not only in people's free time, but also in many educational institutions.
Volleyball consists of two teams of 6 members each (although they may be less): they must hit the ball with their hands to try to make it touch the ground on the side of the court that the opponent occupies to score points. Each team can touch the ball a maximum number of 3 times and then send it to the opponent’s side. As in tennis, in volleyball there is a network that separates the court into two parts, each corresponding to one of the teams, this measures a total of 2.43 (7 feet 11 5/8 inches) meters high for men and 2.24 meters (7 feet 4 1/8 inches) for women.
There is more than one way to score points. The first one is to make the ball touch the ground on the opponent’s side of the court, but you can also get points if the opposing team breaks any of the rules, such as touching the ball more than 3 times before passing it to the opposite side of the court. Another similarity that it shares with tennis is that to win the match you have to win a specific number of sets, in this case the winner will be the team that manages to win 3 sets. Each set consists of 25 points, and you must take two points of advantage to the rival to be able to win it. In the event that a match reaches set number 5, it will only take 15 points to win the game.
Origin of volleyball
Volleyball was created in February 1885 by a man named William George Morgan, who was a coach at the time. Morgan met James Naismith (creator of basketball) in 1881, and created volleyball as an alternative to basketball. However, the differences between one sport and another were evident, so as time went own each sport developed its own followers.
Volleyball was created in the city of Holyoke, United States, but the popularity of the sport increased considerably in the years following its creation, reaching an enormous number of countries around the world. It first arrived in Canada in 1900 and soon arrived on the Asian continent, and during the First World War, American soldiers introduced it to Europe, which made volleyball also popular there.
There is a large number of volleyball tournaments, the most important of which are the Olympic games, the world championship, the world cup and the world league (men)/world grand prix (women). Without a doubt the most important of these tournaments is the one that takes place in the Olympics, winning this championship is the dream of all professional volleyball players
Since volleyball began to professionalize, the amount of talent that has been seen in many of the players is incredible, but there are undoubtedly some who have stood out above the rest, these are some of the:

In addition, in 2001 she was named the best player of the 20th century. As in most sports, there are different types of bets, the most common and in turn the simplest is the one that consists of betting which team will win the game, other types of bets that can make the game more interesting are bets handicap, these consist of betting on the team with the least chance of winning in an apparently favorable match for a specific team, although these types of bets are riskier, they can also be much more profitable if the result is successful.
There is also a type of bet that consists of predicting the amount of total points that the game will have, something that is generally quite difficult to predict. On the other hand, there are also set bets, which consist of predicting which teams will take each of the sets, this is a type of bet that can be convenient if you are not sure which team will win, but you have an idea of how the game will play out.
Tournament bets also exist. Unlike the aforementioned bets, these are long term, and you can bet on which team you think will win a tournament, among other bets within the competition.
